The Ceylon College of Physicians is Sri Lanka’s premier professional organization for specialist Medicine: General (Internal) Medicine and its finer specialties, which currently includes Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Neurology, Pulmonology, and Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Medicine. It is also an important partner in multi-disciplinary specialist fields such as Critical Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, Haematology, and Palliative Care Medicine.
Established in 1967, the College has taken the lead in training specialists and providing continuing professional development (CPD) for them. It is a non-profit organization, and its members contribute towards its many activities entirely voluntarily.

On behalf of the Ceylon College of Physicians I take great pride in welcoming you to our official website. The website provides information about the CCP and an overview of our current and future activities. Established in 1967, Ceylon College of Physicians (CCP) is the oldest speciality Association in Sri Lanka and brings together Specialist in General Medicine, subspecialties of Medicine and other related specialities and includes Specialists from both state and private sectors and the academia. This diversity of membership is the strength of the College and allows us to capture and represent the ideas, concerns and expectations of Physicians in the country.
